… is first a photographic document. These places are the enchanted forests of homo folklore - transient locales identified through word-of-mouth or maps drawn on little scraps of paper. These territories survive with behavioral codes that insure relative security and guaranteed anonymity. Government forces are constantly trying to eradicate these areas by intimidation, access limitation, and gentrification. They are landscapes under siege - cultural battlegrounds. They are our history.
Life inside the enchanted forest is a norm; it is only upon leaving the forest that you step into a memory of perversion. It is this memory that makes these works fiction.
Most scapes are located near a constructed landmark: a stone ski lift, a bridge, a water tower, etc. Most of the scapes are identified with markings that continually restate that each man has boldly cum where every man has cum before.
